This is one of my favorite beaches to catch a sunriseš
It is quieter than the more touristy Cocoa Beach and only takes me an additional 10 minutes and 10 miles to get here.
Paradise Beach is found in between Satellite and Melbourne Beaches, with only a scattering of hotels around. Patrick air force base is more north of Satellite Beach.
Here you will also find Howard E. Futch Memorial Park, with its 3 dune crossovers (to protect dune re-vegetation), volleyball courts, bathrooms, a picnic pavilion and playground. This was built in memory of State Senator Howard Hutch who was elected (after serving in the state House for 8 years), in 2001 until his passing in January 2003. He had also served in the Korean war and had dedicated his life to his state and nation.
This is also the beach from which we take our Beyond the Theme Parks logoš
Here you will find nests from turtles in the summer months, as well as crabs scurrying around digging out their homes.
The birds come and go, with the pelicans soaring overhead and the little sandpipers digging away in the sand.
We frequently see dolphins too, when we visit, which never gets old!
Thereās more to see in nearby Melbourne and weāll catch up with that on another blog soonš
Paradise beach can be found at 2301 N Highway A1A, Indialantic, FL 32903
